The three-day print exhibition in March will showcase technologies from exhibitors like Welbound Worldwide, TechNova India, Autoprint, Konica Minolta India, and Deluxe Printing Machinery, among others.

Medha Virkar, president of Mumbai Mudrak Sangh, one of the associations affiliated with MMP, said, "There are shows like Drupa, London Book Fair, Paperex, and so on, but not every individual can afford to travel abroad and see the live demonstration or the application of the technology. By organising such trade shows, we intend to bring the latest technology closer to the printing fraternity. People can, at the least, visit the local show and watch the live demonstrations and application of the technology."

"Printex 2014, being the largest and most comprehensive trade show in the South East Asia for commercial, printing, publishing, and converting technology, will play host to a projected 10,000+ industry professionals from all over India. The team has put in lot of efforts for the noble cause of developing the printing institute in Navi Mumbai, which is run by the association,"said Anand Limaye of MMP, which has more than 50 affiliate associations from Maharashtra.

The previous edition of Printex, held in 2011, saw a footfall of 11,750 visitors.

Labelex 2014, a show focused on label manufacturing technologies, is being organised concurrently with Printex 2014 at the Bombay Exhibition Centre.
