“The Southern market has always been good to us and we are clearly seeing the trend of printers from smaller towns shifting to digital presses and KM being the preferred partner,” said Ashok Sethi, executive general manager, PP & Ip sales, Konica Minolta.
The company which has already crossed 100 installation in the new FY20 has a market share of around 35% from the southern states.
“The first quarter has seen 15-18% (YoY) growth and this has been achieved all the products including the flagship C6100 and C6085,” he added.
One of the busier stalls at the expo, KM displayed the AccurioPress C6100 engine with Image Quality Optimiser, light production engines C3070/C3080, mono engines 6136 and Pro 1100 and C83 high croma engine.
“Our success in the last few years is completely down to the high levels of customer satisfaction that we have been able to achieve. I would say it is as high as 95% pegging us on top whereas two years back we were at best second or third on this index,” explained Sethi.
This has not only ensured that our existing customers stick with us but the word of mouth has been so strong that we have had 70% new customers associated with the brand last year,” he added.
A PrintExpo-regular, the company has consistently notched several orders year on year in the show.
“This year is no different we have signed a few deals which has some loose ends to be tied up in the coming weeks,” said S R Vasudevan, deputy general manager- sales, Konica Minolta India.
