The brand and the effort that the organisers had invested in over the years held them in good stead as the footfall increased by a slight margin to exceed 13,500.
“I am very pleased with the feedback I have received from our exhibitors and this is definitely a significant event which hugely tested our strength. Chennai was hosting its third exhibition in a short span and the possible fatigue among the print fraternity was something we were wary of,” said Ashok Neelkant, managing director, Intel Trade Fairs & Expositions, the organisers of the event.
Xerox, Konica Minolta, Monotech, Epson, Riso, Technova, UPG Group Shanghai, Hitech Systems, Gayathri Machineries, AGS, Pratham Technologies, Chemline Industries, Grafica Flextronica are some of the participants at the show.
“The show definitely was the best of all the shows that were hosted in Chennai, in fact, throughout South India. The organisers have managed to pull printers from across the states and from several tier two and three towns,” said one of the exhibitors.
This year also saw the inaugural edition of Sign & Media expo being held alongside the main event. A half day South India Printers Meet (SIPM) was held in association with Future Schoolz with several imminent speakers taking part.
“We want to further cement our place as not only the biggest show in South India but also the one that printers look forward to acquiring knowledge on technology and state of the industry in India and worldwide,” concluded Neelkant.
