PrintPack 2019: AP India, CDC Printers opt for Esko cutting tables

Esko has announced the sale of its hardware and software products to New Delhi-based AP India and Kolkata-based CDC Printers during PrintPack India 2019.

New Delhi-based commercial printing firm AP India has opted for Kongsberg X24 Sign Light starter cutting table and ArtiosCAD 2D and layout tools. This investment, according to the director, Akhil Chopra, enables the company’s entry into the soft signage and display segment.

Chopra said, “The idea is to create innovative print applications by combining our expertise in offset printing, screen printing capabilities, and wide-format digital printing. The Esko investment will allow us to up our innovative quotient.”

Kolkata-based book printing specialist CDC Printers has ventured into the packaging segment with a new Heidelberg six-colour UV press and a die-cutter and folder-gluer from Bobst.

Manu Choudhury, director, CDC Printers, said, “In order to strengthen our capabilities in the packaging pre-press, we have opted for Kongsberg X 20 digital sample table and Esko’s complete packaging design, pre-press and digital proofing software. This will make us all set for the packaging journey.”
