This will be the New Delhi-based digital print specialist’s second C8000, which will replace the company’s existing ImagePress C800.
Speaking to PrintWeek India, MN Pandey, director at Avantika said, “We are impressed with the quality and productivity of the C8000. Our capacity to print A3 sheets has risen to 1-lakh print per month. Now we can print even 4pt text, which is crisp and clear.”
Avantika has established itself as the synonymous for quality production, not just in print but also in the overall product. It produces more than a hundred super-specialised types of jobs. These include PODs, photo books, postcards, greeting cards, personalised desk, wall calendars, coasters, gift certificates, and discount cards among others.
The shopfloor is home to Canon presses, a C800, which will be replaced by the C8000, an existing C8000 and an Oce mono production press and a Canon large-format press.
The existing C800 runs at a speed of 70ppm, which according to Pandey, created a bottleneck in its production schedule. “The ability to produce duplex print at a speed of 80ppm means, we are good to produce more, when required. We hope to produce 15-20% more with the new C8000.”
Avantika is one of the multiple time winners of the PrintWeek India Digital Printer of the Year Award, the last time being a joint-winner in 2017.
