PrintPack 2019: Orange O Tec highlights Picador software, KoloRado digital cutter

Picador software has seen recent installations at ITC’s Chennai and Bengaluru units, Delhi’s Packsystems and Boxify, Mumbai’s Viraj Prints, and Bengaluru’s Easy Pack.

Picador is capable of performing 2D, 3D structural design; palletistion, augmentation, and the software is compatible with various digital cutting tables such as KoloRado, Zund, Kongsberg, Lasercomb and others. Parmetric function of Picador allows user to change the dimensions of the chosen layout as per the requirement.

Bijoy Roy, marketing director of Orange O Tec, said, “A CAD operation which takes 30 minutes, can be completed in Picador software within 8 seconds. The USP of the software is its ease of operation.”

According to Orange O Tec, every quarter the library of the software gets updated and all customers receive the update. It provides five-days on-site training after installation and 24x7 online support.

The KR3 model of KoloRado digital cutting table has a cutting area of 1700x1300-mm, which works at a speed of 1,500-mm/sec. The machine can perform with three heads simultaneously. Also when required, CNC tooling can be mounted. KoloRado KR3 has its application in packaging, printing, furniture, advertising, sample-making, and short-run, and even in mass production.

Orange O Tec has installed 14 machines of KoloRado until date. Recent installations include Ahmedabad-based Pin Pack, who opted it to ease its operation for making boars for dies used in die-cutting machines.

Also Orange O Tec highlighted the Colorix Sub Pro II, an eight-colour direct-to-textile signage dye sublimation machine focusing on the advertising segment. Colorix has four to six water-based printheads which can print at a resolution of 600x1800-dpi. Speed of the machine varies from 360-sq m/ hr to 120-sq m/hr. Some of the key features of the machine include symmetrical colour alignment, adjustable vacuum system, peristaltic ink supply system, tension-controlled winding/unwinding unit and others.
