“We believe print education in the country has to improve and we have taken it upon ourselves to ensure we do our bit for the cause. Keeping that in mind, we are conducting academic workshops on a daily basis at the show. Interested individual can pre-register with us even now,” said K Panthala Selvan, managing director of Pressman Solutions.
The topics to be covered in the workshop include process control, introduction to colour management, print calibration through G7 methodology, introduction to printready pdf, etc.
“We are also proud to announce the launch of our very own mobile app called Pman which would be first of its kind interactive print education app which we believe would be a fun way to learn some of the essential print topics that anyone in the industry should know,” said Selvan.
The app which is launched as beta will initially contain objective quizzes to gauge your understanding of a wide range of subjects.
“The immediate next step is to have several levels of difficulty for each of the topics and then build learning material on those topics with the idea that the user can read up on the topic and then take the respective tests. We also plan on hosting blogs and discussion forums on the app too in the near future,” said Selvan.
“The app can also be used by companies as a potential interview tool to check the basic knowledge of any potential employee,” he added.
The company is also officially launching its Idealliance South Asia chapter with ten printers so far registered for the G7 master qualification and the announcement of G7 expert programme registration for individuals in end of March.
“We have also partnered Kodak for their workflow software which is also officially unveiled today,” said Selvan.
