PrintPack 2019: Soliton Technologies to launch barcode reader

Vignesh Eswaramoorthy, brand and marketing manager, Soliton, said, “The Nuera Smart Camera is used to automate inspection with the help of a vision sensor and inbuilt processor. Our own industrial IP67 rated Smart Camera is a huge advantage for us.”

The Nuera barcode reader can be used in applications such as packaging inspection, logistics, and product identification among others. Apart from Smart Camera and barcode reader, Soliton will also highlight its flagship product Prim, colour registration and cut-off control system; Nuera Pro HDMI and WiFi, and Nuera sorting demo.

“Our 20 year of experience in machine vision application has helped us in building optimised and robust algorithm for the Prim system,” added Eswaramoorthy.

According to Eswaramoorthy, the Prim system completely automates the registration by automatically detecting the offset quickly and correcting the respective colours by controlling corresponding motors. Therefore, it reduces paper wastage and the required manpower for registration. 

Soliton has sold more than 400 Smart Cameras for Prim system across different offset machines like Mitsubishi, Hamada, Komori and Manugraph, among others.
