The industry has come a long way since its transformation from manual to offset in the 1090s. Similarly, now the trend is the change from conventional to digital printing. This is especially due to the customisation, innovations and fast turnaround times provided by the digital space.
At PrintPack 2019, I’m impressed with the increased number of stalls and exhibitors, especially the increase of global exhibitors in our country, which is a crucial parameter for growth.
Post-press, another growing segment and a vital aspect for digital printing have now come into the limelight, as it is quite visible at the trade show. This segment is becoming a huge attraction for visitors. Out of the stalls I have visited so far, the two machines highlighted by Hi-Tech in this post-press segment caught my attention.
I feel that the industry should work more towards achieving the goals of zero-wastage, as it will also lead to an increase in the cost of the product.
