PrintPack 2019: Zund’s digital cutting table and ZDC plug-in software

Prasanna Venkatesh, managing director, Zund India, said, “A printer who wants a machine to transform all his creativity into reality should certainly visit our booth. We would be showing how this small wonder of a machine, the S3 M800, would help them harness their creative side. Also, a packaging converter could not only use the machine for making samples but also use it for short run productions. What more, he could also add cutting of various other substrates to his portfolio.”

The S3 M800 has a table size of 1.3x0.8 metres, a zoned vacuum for higher vacuum efficiency, a speed of 1.4 metres per second and provision to mount 16 different tools for various different substrates and cutting methods. 

“The USP of this product is its modularity, versatility, ability to produce short-run jobs, and low operation and maintenance costs,” highlighted Venkatesh.

In India, Zund has over 150 machines installed in various different industry segments. In the packaging sector, it boasts of marquee industry names including Parksons Packaging, Any Graphics, Kala Jyothi, Chennai Micro Print, Kohinoor Packaging, and Nextgen Packaging among others.

Venkatesh said, Zund India has slowly but certainly established its foothold in the Indian Market. “We have grown two folds in terms of revenues since the last PrintPack India show in 2017. We have had close to a dozen innovations on our products in these last two years.”
