Rakesh Dave, managing director, QIPC EAE India said that the company has introduced integrated quality control features such as register control, cut-off control, remote inking systems and spray damping system in a single console.
However, Dave said that the star products at the show were the remote inking system and spray damping system.
“We got several leads from existing customers, book printers and OEMs such as TPH and others at the show. It looks like the industry is reviving and maybe within few months it will go back to the pre-Covid levels,” Dave said.
He said that the company also received new orders during the show, but refrained from disclosing the details, which he said would be revealed after a week or so. “The new enquiries will be converted into new orders very soon,” he added.
Regarding the show, Dave said that the company was initially worried about the Covid situation, but the exhibition turned out to be a success for QIPC.
The company recently installed its quality inspection systems at Thiruvananthapuram-based Deshabhimani and Hyderabad-based Sia Print and Publishing. The machines were installed in the facilities’ TPH and Manugraph machines.
Other installations were done at Nigeria-based Prakash Web Offset and a press in Sri Lanka, where inspection systems were installed on their new Manugraph press.
“We got more than what we expected from the PrintPack India show. Compared to the previous exhibition, only key people were visiting the show this year and it was very important to be present,” Dave concluded.
