PrintPack 2022: Zund signs deal for S3 cutting table

Venkatesh Prasanna, managing director of Zund India, said, “The S3 M800 small size digital cutting table is the most commonly used in the packaging industry. The machine is capable of handling sizes up to 1,330x800-mm.”

The modular concept of Zund is about its ability to change the tools as per the substrate characteristics on the same cutting table. In addition, it can also be conveyorised at a later point to handle much lengthier sheets and boards, omitting the need for a bigger investment. This USP helped nail the deal.

According to Prasanna, “One can easily upgrade the machine at site for enhancing the productivity and handling various other substrates.”

Giriraj Kothari, managing director of Lipi International, said that they found the machine to be versatile among the ones displayed at the show. He also said that he was “amazed with the variety of substrates that the machine was able to handle”.

“The company is expanding and wanted to add a sample maker with short-run production capabilities. Hence, they opted for the S3 M800 cutting machine. They are also planning to explore their rigid box segment,” Prasanna added.
