At PrintPack 2025, Arofine Polymers is focussing on pasting adhesives. The company has launched Arobond 648 adhesive for flexo folder gluer machines (FFGs), and it is being used by several big presses in India.

Arofine has also developed two variants of barrier coatings for heat sealability and non-heat sealability. The company has innovated on aluminium foil to paper lamination.

On being asked which product vertical is the most sought-after for investments, Chaitanya Joshi, business manager of Arofine Polymers, said, “We are seeing tremendous growth in pasting adhesives.” The company is receiving good traction from all the variants of folder gluers.

The company plans to increase its plant capacity in 2025.

Sharing insights on how India can emerge as a great potential market for printing and packaging, he said, “India has the right combination of machines, consumables and talent.”

Joshi added, “India needs to focus on quality more, and that will make India the next printing hub.”

On the subject of sustainability, he said, “We are very cautious about manufacturing our adhesives.” The company is Ecovadis Silver partner. The manufacturing facility has zero discharge, ensuring that there are no pollutants. Arofine has also developed biodegradable products. Certain coatings have been developed that are biodegradable; water-based coatings are a replacement for polyethylene coatings. These coatings are food-grade with high recyclability content.
