At PrintPack 2025, Electro Mec is exhibiting its six-clamp perfect binder (Diamond Series 2500 CPH), two sizes of its fully automatic case maker (the QFM 460 A/B/C and the QFM 600 A/B/C), and its fully automatic rigid box-making machine (the S 420YS). The focus is on automation.

K Mohamed Ismail, managing director, said, “In 2025, I am planning to focus more on automation to reduce the man dependability. By the next edition of PrintPack, we will more automated products across segments.”

M Fahad Qadri, marketing manager, “We’re focusing on three key areas: perfect binding, case making, and rigid box manufacturing. Our main goal is to provide end-to-end solutions. This ranges from the digital segment to high-volume machine manufacturing and high-volume books. It could be in packaging, printing, or publishing.”

The Diamond Series 2500 CPH features a hot-melt glue system for automatic heating, circulation, and mixing, providing precise control over glue viscosity. It also includes an automatic cleaning function for the glue tank after operations. It also features a quad stayer that automates the folding of cardboard, a hydraulic pneumatic spotter with a high-precision photoelectric sensor to accurately position and align the sticker cardboard box onto the glued wrap paper and combines mechanical and pneumatic functions to complete the folding process effectively.

Qadri said, “Our aim is full automation, either in the form of machine process-making or a more efficient, responsive approach to delivering products to customers. The Indian book industry has huge consumption, as you know. We’re seeing a shift toward digital as more people move away from conventional book methods. However, we still see some growth in this area, particularly in school systems and institutional sectors.”

The QFM 460 A/B/C and the QFM 600 A/B/C integrate technology, pneumatics, and mechatronics systems to offer automation. It is adept at automatically feeding wrappers and boards at a 90-degree angle to the fixing table and adjusting the fixing position to align with the wrapper. It produces a wide array of high-quality hardcover bookcases, binders, folders, gameboards, table calendars, diaries, photo albums, and luxurious gift packaging.

The S 420YS boasts two Yamaha robotic arms that help with high-output running. It is equipped with a binocular vision system, ensuring precise positioning accuracy of less than 0.1-mm. With an automatic paper feeder featuring a servo sensor controller, paper feeding is stable. It serves various industries such as mobile phones, sweets, textiles, customised gifts, jewellery, electronic gadgets, and food packaging.
