PrintPack 2025: Kodak signs Kapoor Imaging as channel partner

Kapoor Imaging will distribute Kodak’s range of thermal platesetters, automation equipment, Sonora process-free plates, and workflow software solutions.

Kapoor Imaging, established in 1976, operates from Chennai with 14 offices across major Indian cities and a team of 300. The company supplies pre-press solutions, printing plates, and pressroom consumables. 

Bhalchandra Nikumb, print solutions sales director, India, Kodak, the partnership will help expand Kodak’s thermal CTP and process-free plate solutions in India. Kapoor Imaging’s market experience and network are expected to support Kodak’s growth in the segment.

Kodak has 18 channel partners in India.

Sunil Kapoor, managing director of Kapoor Imaging, said adding Kodak’s portfolio strengthens the company’s position as a supplier of offset CTP solutions and plates. The agreement enables Kapoor Imaging to provide printers with Kodak’s pre-press and plate solutions.

Nikumb informed PrintWeek/WhatPackakging? that Kodak holds a 25% market share in Sonora thermal processless plates, a segment where it continues to push adoption in India. “We sees the partnership as part of a broader plan to expand further in the region, building on its investments in sustainable and process-free printing technologies.”
