Repro India, a leading book print house and exporter, has confirmed an order for Bindwel’s Bindline system at PrintPack 2025. The investment will be deployed at the company’s Surat EOU plant, where it aims to enhance bookbinding efficiency with an integrated production setup.
The new Bindline configuration includes the Freedom 5K perfect binder, Signa gathering system with the BSRS inspection system, and inline Trimmer 50C. The addition of this system is expected to streamline production while maintaining high-quality standards across large volumes.
Repro India’s association with Bindwel dates back to establishing its Surat EOU. The company initially installed offline binders from Bindwel alongside primary binding equipment from Kolbus of Germany. As the Kolbus machines required servicing and upgrades over time, Bindwel played a crucial role in maintaining and improving their performance. The company retrofitted these systems with Nordson PUR technology and integrated inspection solutions, strengthening Repro’s quality control measures.
Ahead of the investment, Rajeev Vohra, director of Repro India, along with Shobit Verma, EVP - supply chain and operations, and Vijay Jadhav, senior general manager, visited Bindwel’s manufacturing facility in Bengaluru. Speaking about the collaboration, Vohra said, “Bindwel is a pioneer in bookbinding machines in India, and now their technology is on par with the best in the world.”
Pallipouram Sajith, managing director of Bindwel Technologies, expressed his excitement about the collaboration: "We are proud that India’s premier book printer, which offers solutions for books of one to millions, has chosen us for their expansion plan in Surat."
With this latest investment, Repro India continues strengthening its position as a leader in the Indian and global book printing markets. “The Bindwel Bindline will play a crucial role in supporting Repro’s high-volume book production while maintaining world-class quality standards,” said Sajith.
