PrintPack 2025: UV Graphics poised to unveil world’s first AI-powered flexo press
UV Graphics is set to make history at PrintPack 2025, held at the Noida Expo Centre, with the launch of the world’s first flexographic press featuring AI technology. The company will showcase its groundbreaking Ultraflex UFO AI, a state-of-the-art flexo press designed to revolutionise the printing industry with its advanced AI-driven interface.

The Ultraflex UFO AI promises to redefine operational efficiency by significantly reducing the reliance on operator skill while streamlining processes and minimising errors. This innovation is poised to meet the demands of today’s fast-paced, high-volume printing market. The press boasts a 100% inspection system linked to an instant register system, positioning it as a strong competitor to digital equipment, particularly in the short-run label and flexible packaging segments.
Abhay Datta, director of UV Graphics Technologies, shared his excitement about the launch, “The Ultraflex UFO AI is a game-changer for the industry. By integrating AI technology, we are not only enhancing precision and speed but also making advanced printing accessible to a wider range of converters. This press is designed to deliver consistent, high-quality results, even on complex substrates.”
The UFO AI incorporates dual servo technology, a system UV Graphics has refined over seven years with over 160 successful installations worldwide. This technology ensures reliability, precision, and speed, enabling converters to achieve exceptional print quality. The press can handle a wide range of substrates, including BOPP, IML, PVC, Board, PS, and unsupported labels, with an impressive speed of 200 meters per minute. It also features the largest diameter impression cylinder in the industry, delivering CI-type results at a fraction of the cost of traditional CI presses.
In addition to its core features, the UFO AI integrates UV Graphics’ proprietary Vari-Gap, an adjustable die-cutting anvil cylinder with AI assistance, which simplifies die setup and accelerates production cycles. The press also offers multiple printing options, including rotary or flat screen printing, gravure, intaglio, hot/cold foil, flatbed die cutting, and digital embellishments, making it a versatile solution for both label and flexible packaging applications.
UV Graphics will also introduce the Distorun, a microprocessor and servo-based foil saver for cold foil stamping, in collaboration with Kurz Germany. This marks the first time registered holographic transfer technology will be demonstrated live in the Indian market.
Another highlight at the UV Graphics booth will be the launch of the Efo 370, India’s most affordable servo press, priced at just Rs 99-lakh onwards. The EFO 370 is designed for versatility, targeted at entry-level converters, particularly in printing on shrink films and other common substrates. “The EFO 370 brings servo technology within reach of smaller converters, enabling them to compete in India’s dynamic label industry,” added Datta.
Visitors to UV Graphics’ booth (Hall 5, C14 and C24) will also witness live demonstrations of other innovative products, including the Ultraflex USR Slitter, CoreMaxx automatic core cutting machines, Pony flat bed screen printing with digital foiling, and the Ultraflex VPM, the fastest plate mounting system in the industry.
“We are excited to showcase our latest innovations at PrintPack 2025,” said Datta. “We aim to empower converters with cutting-edge technology that enhances productivity and quality. We invite everyone to visit our booth and experience the future of flexo printing.”
