These glue dispensing systems have come a long way with optimisations and developments in terms of higher speeds, minimal operations and precision.
Let us have a look at what to expect from PrintPack 2015 in this segment.
Baumer HHS
What Baumer has in store for you at the show is Xtend2, a modular system for controlling the application of glue and for quality assurance. An Xtend system consists of a controller unit and one or more operating terminals as well as a large number of sensors and glue application valves. Xtend2 was launched at Drupa 2008 with a provision for customer to upgrade the base module as per his requirement. In India, the company has installed more than 50 Xtend2 systems. The USP is that it can be upgraded for hotmelt, PUR, quality assurance and even for complex carton glue monitoring.
Integriti Consulting
Integriti Consulting is a fresher at the show. Established in June 2014, this company is a part of Italian gluing specialist Ero Srl. They manufacture gluing systems for case-makers and floder-gluers. Its stand out product high pressure cold glue system, which dispenses glue dots at 350m/min, has already achieved 22+ installations in the country. Again this product was launched at Drupa 2008 and has gone through many advanced upgrades since then. The 100 hertz glue gun comes with a ceramic orifice and self-cleaning slides/shutter for individual glue guns.
Robatech
Glue dispensing is Robatech’s forte. It has tied up with another specialist WH Leary. Together the two experts will display hotmelt and cold glue systems for folding carton applications.
The new Robatech-Leary partnership offers a complete range of high-value solutions for the paper converting market. The solutions are extending from the most economical Hot or Cold adhesive application systems to highly sophisticated bespoke gluing and quality assurance systems for manufacturers of solid board and corrugated boxes, bags, envelopes and many other products worldwide.
According to a company spokesperson, “Lots of manual jobs going to be automated, and we hope to play a big role in the same.”
With customers looking for reliable and cost effective solution, Robatech expects good business opportunity.
Valco Melton
Following its acquisition of GMS, visitors can expect new range of print finishing solutions at Valco Melton’s stand.
This includes Microgluer folding machine, Microglue HM10 hotmelt system, and pattern controllers featuring two, four and eight channels/outputs.
The company’s family of Microglue glue system folds, glues, and perforates in one operation to create self-mailers in C, V and Z-fold formats. Microglue HM10 is perhaps the simplest and easiest to use, two-channel, all-in-one system.
System features include: a two channel, two events per channel pattern controller; 10-pound melt tank with digital pressure control; distance based pattern stitching capability; and two optical sensor inputs and two encoder inputs.
