The early bird deadline for the 2023 edition of the Awards concluded on 31 July.

The Jury Day for the 13th edition of the Awards has been scheduled for September. The gala Awards Night function will be hosted on 30 October (Monday), Mumbai.

A total of 44 print firms took home the Prism in 30 categories during the 12th PrintWeek Awards held at Grand Hyatt in Mumbai on 2 November 2022.

The Awards recognises the very best of printing, whether it's innovation, quality or out-of-box approach to the medium, in 35 categories across Performance, Quality and Special Industry Awards.

This year, the Awards has re-introduced some old categories not included in the last edition. These are Brochure and Catalogue Printer of the Year, Newspaper Printer of the Year, Fine Art Printer of the Year and POS/POP Printer of the Year.

Apart from these, there will be two new categories in the Performance Awards– MSME Company of the Year and Export Company of the Year.

Last year the Awards had the Special Covid-19 Awards. This year, the segment has been transformed into Special Industry Awards. It has categories like CSR Company of the Year, Most Challenging Project of the Year, Factory of the Year, etc

“For PrintWeek Awards 2023, we have revised some old categories, and have added some new ones,” Noel D’Cunha, managing editor, PrintWeek/WhatPackaging? said.

The 2022 Awards saw 1,000+ samples in 362 entries from 112 companies across the country. There were 44 winners, which were judged by a team of 25 print buyers and specialists.

“Over the years, the PrintWeek Awards winners have successfully highlighted how the Indian printing industry is capable of turning the mundane act of printing into works of art. With so much innovation happening in the market right now, we are looking forward to seeing some really exciting entries this year,” D’Cunha added.

“PrintWeek Awards 2022 saw record-breaking participation from all over the country, despite the Covid-19 crisis. We are confident to deliver a bigger Awards show in 2023,” Kalpak Shah, senior executive, awards and events, said.
