PrintWeek Awards 2023: Manjushree Technopack (MTL) wins Packaging Company of the Year - Rigid Packaging (Metal / PET / Plastic / Glass)
Manjushree Technopack (MTL) is marching on. Recently, the group has invested Rs 15-crore in a bottle-to-bottle grade recycling division of Ganesha Ecosphere Group (India’s largest plastic bottle recycler) to co-develop and supply food and non-food grade packaging products made of recycled plastics.

According to the managing director and CEO of Manjushree Technopack, Thimmaiah Napanda, private equity firm Advent International owns more than 95% of MTL, with more than 24 factories across India. Plus, the group is in the process of consolidating a few and building new green field facilities in newer locations. We vouch for the Bidadi factory. It is world-class.
Also, Bidadi has a recycling plant. Speaking of recycling, MTL has developed PCR HDPE grades for lubes, laundry care and personal segments and PP PCR Grades for paints and lube pails. Some of the samples were shared with the jury - and they were suitably impressed with MTL systems both on the conversion side as well as the PCR resin-making side.
With its current manufacturing capacity of over 2,00,000 MT per annum and an annual turnover of around Rs.2,600-crore, MTL is India’s largest rigid plastics packaging company.
