While last year, the company won the accolade for a range of samples it produced for the textile and garment sector, including paper bag, this year, the company has won the Award for a range of carton boxes replete with embellishments.
The samples came in for special praise, with the judges saying that all the four submissions packaging are “consistent, bold, and engaging”.
The Amantan Dhoop box, for example, had an exclusive UV effect on the Indian Royal image, making it look rich. The company played with the shape, making its appearance different from other packaging. The Black Agar – incense stick box received an abrasive UV finish, making it feel close to the brand name, while the Balaji Oudh box was a single-piece folding box with an attached elastic cord for convenience. The President Rose box, the company said, is a “testament to opulence”. The box’s surface is adorned with gold foil embossing, where intricate design and details come to life with a touch of regal brilliance.
All the samples were printed on Heidelberg SM 74 press, velvet lamination with the Scodix press providing the foil and textured UV embellishments.
Special Jury Mention
First Impression (Mumbai)
Mumbai-based First Impression fell short of winning the category by a slender margin. However, the judges loved that the submissions were screen printed, enabling the company to add many colours to special designs.
