PrintWeek Awards 2023: Trigon Digipack wins Packaging Converter of the Year (Rigid Box) (Joint Winner)

Trigon submitted entries in the tightly contested category that exuded luxury and sophistication. The samples ticked all the boxes – sturdiness, protection, and a high-end look and feel, whether it was the Caesarstone Architecture box and catalogue, the EPL Sustainability, the Durex boxes or the canister box labels.
The judges were impressed with the graphic and structural design, production techniques, innovation, and convenience. The boxes offered a perfect balance between maximising the product’s visibility while maintaining rigidity. The Caesarstone Architecture box and catalogue book, for example. The box with tiles weighed around 11kgs, and the catalogue book around 3.5kgs. It was quite natural that both had to be sturdy while looking aesthetic. There was a critical part in the process of producing the box – a thin line on the box and the tiny registration mark in the logo. Trigon executed it well. Likewise, each of the other three had special elements which made the packaging boxes stand out.
All the packaging boxes were printed on the HP Indigo 25K, using four or more colours, including opaque white.
Special Jury Mention
Unbox (Pune)
Last year’s winner Unbox’s submission came in for a special jury mention. The packaging structures of the submissions were well designed, and the effort to get the Eze perfume bottles placed in the box, the colour and inner placement, was commended. The nine-side nanagone structure looked complicated, but the final product was produced with accuracy.
