Brilliant Printers presented its production of a 165mmx235mm book — a Chinese Study Bible.
It printed 8,000 copies of the 1,600-page Bible. The materials used included a grey board covered with 130-gsm art paper for the cover, 30gsm thin opaque paper for the text, 140-gsm paper for the end sheet, 170-gsm art gloss paper for the dust jacket, and 100-gsm art paper for the maps. The case used a grey 2.5mm thick board.
Brilliant said that the Chinese Study Bible overcame the challenge of four-colour printing on thin paper (30gsm) with no compromise on the quality of printing and various processes in a yapp bound book with gilding, thumb index and heat burnishing.
“It pushed us to think creatively to minimise wastage and meet tight deadlines,” said Brilliant. Next was engaging experts and exploring different methods, which resulted in substantial improvements in print quality, minimal wastage, and on-time delivery.
The customer expressed high praise for the quality, finish, and timely delivery of the book. According to the company, this project provided significant learning opportunities and showcased the power of teamwork and adaptability. Overcoming complex problems with groundbreaking solutions demonstrated our creativity and forward-thinking, guided by strong leadership and strategic decisions.
Over the years, Brilliant has set a remarkable standard in the book printing industry. Its remarkable accomplishments testify to the power of perseverance and innovation in the face of significant challenges.
