Needless to say, the Multivista Global team continues to do the things that they have always been doing. What impressed the jury were the small but meaningful steps. Consider Multivista’s work with the Oxford University Press. The book print major from Chennai has managed to change the cover requirements from lamination to aqueous coatings for a print volume of 1,338,000 (1.33 million) books. This means avoiding plastic consumption of 9,336-kgs of plastic lamination film.
64% of the paper procured by Multivists Global is certified by the FSC. The target shared with Team PrintWeek is 75% FSC usage this year, and 90% by 2030.
The book factory ticks the boxes of implementing guidelines for sustainable procurement, working with suppliers to create awareness about sustainable procurement, and measuring Scope 3 (indirect) carbon emissions.
Truly green and lean, all the way.
