Renault Paper sent four label samples, which the judges said were “near perfect.” 

Mussafir labels for The Living Liquidz Spirits and Sports Bar, a small-run order, was printed using CMYK and spot custom colours. Produced on a 90-gsm uncoated imported paper, the labels special features include deep contrasting rich colours printed with special anilox rollers for deposition on uncoated substrates. Carefully selected foil areas and unique foil shade gives this label a premium appeal.

The second, the Crafters Stamp label, designed by Alcobev UK sees Renault manage the files handed over to it by the design agency, layer separated till the final product for approval and launch roll out. Here the texture on brand name Crafters and blind emboss pattern were created bespoke for the brand. Cost and production efficiency was key as the client had a quick launch. 

The Varchas Bourbon label is a creation of linework for the double-headed eagle that forms the emboss, which Renault said, was very complex as it involved tooling to print, emboss, micro texture and die-cut on aluminium foil substrate. The label was printed using CMYK and spot custom colour on 240-gsm aluminium paper.

And finally, the Ruslan label for Vijay Distilleries with a mid-run was complex too, with two unique substrates in one label. Aluminium foil face material was converted to PS label stock. The PP clear label was precision registered on 80 micron aluminium foil for one pass bottling. According to Renault, operation on one surface (front) with two unique substrates was a huge challenge.
