For the launch of its two new products, the client approached S Kumar with the design and sought its expertise on how to best highlight the distinct product features and also create labels that convey the premium quality to the customer.

The label has been adorned with a holographic foil to highlight the product name, followed by emboss UV on strategic elements on the label, such as its vegan nature or the product being approved by the People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA), and of course, the brand name to communicate its key USP. It was finally finished off with a thermal velvet lamination to give it a premium feel.
The challenge was to print the gradient and eventually match the white of the top to the white of the cap without any hint of colour, which took some back and forth, but the company finally managed to get it right after some trials done in collaboration with its flexo plate-maker.
The two jobs with 10,000 labels each were printed on Avery Dennison PP white labelstock on a Zonten ZTR 450 10-colour label press. The special feature of the job is the use of silver holographic foil and silver ink.
