One of India’s finest offset printing companies, Silverpoint ushered digital printing in with the installation of HP Indigo in 2010-11. Since then the company has been upgrading its digital arsenal. At Drupa 2024, Silverpoint ordered the HP Indigo 100K digital press, its second B2 digital press and will become the first to install the 100K in India. 

For the Awards, Silverpoint submitted the Club 10 Gymkhana brochure produced for Arihant Super Structures. The Mont Blanc white 130-gsm cover as well as some of the inner pages printed on 130-gsm paper were given a gold foil effect. Embossing and debossing on the cover gave the brochure a premium look.

The Crown Coin brochure was digitally printed and embellishments like gold foil, spot UV and satin aqueous varnishing were added. “The double-spread prints were stunning and the finishing gave the brochure a classic look,” said one judge.

The print on Decoding D-Code for the India Leadership Council book came in for a special mention.  The digitally printed square book gave the profiles feature in the book a personalised and engaging feel. “It is evident a lot of thought was given to the book’s design and print,” commented one judge.

The fourth sample was the Dream Dare Deliver book for Microland. Ten copies were printed, section-sewn and hard case bound. The use of white space on one side and bright colours on the next in the double spread gives the book a clean and modern touch.

All the samples were printed using an HP Indigo 12000 digital press. GMG colour management tools were deployed for consistent and accurate reproduction of colours across the prints.
