PrintWeek Awards 2024: S&S Packaging wins SME Company of the Year

S&S Packaging has been in the news for its tech prowess. It’s been adding machine power (rotogravure and offset, plus post-press kit) at its 50,000-sqft facility in Silvassa. With an order book where the minimum order quantity (MOQ) is 500,000 units, the S&S Packaging team is geared to handle bulk order production runs. This constitutes 90% of its business.

The company’s speciality is cigarette packaging. In addition, the company serves industries like FMCG, pharmaceuticals and textiles. S&S Packaging secured a contract with a UAE tobacco company in the past year, enhancing its market presence. The company also partnered with the Indian Institute of Packaging (IIP) to collaborate on research, curriculum development, internships, and seminars for students.

On the growth side, S&S Packaging’s profits have increased fivefold in the past financial year. Jaideep Savla of S&S Packaging says, “This growth is attributed to investments in machinery, lean manufacturing practices, and a skilled workforce.”

Despite the competitive market, S&S Packaging has remained debt-free, reinvesting profits into technology and facility upgrades. The company’s financial health is reflected in its high credit rating and liquidity ratio, ensuring it can meet short-term obligations while focusing on long-term expansion.
