PrintWeek Awards to recognise flexible packaging converters

This category is open for flexible packaging laminates printed through flexography and gravure printing technologies.

The jury members will be looking for excellence in package printing as well as functional and barrier properties of the packaging and sustainability. They will take into account the use of multi-layer substrates and other production constraints. 

The entry samples will be assessed by a panel of jury members belonging to the brand owners. Sukhdev Saini of General Mills, Shashank Phadke of HH Global, Mukund Kapote of Reliance Industries, Ashwini Deshpande of Elephant Design were among the 26-member jury panel for 2017 edition of Awards.

The flexible packaging companies also stand a chance to win the Packaging Company of the Year under the Performance Category. As per this category, the winner will be evaluated as per the balance sheet and profit and loss accounts and investment in technology and people-strength over a period of two years. ITC-PPD was the previous year winner in this category.

Shortlisted participants are invited to the Awards Night where the winners are announced and presented with the PrintWeek India Prism.

The winner as well shortlisted companies will be featured in PrintWeek India’s print edition and online platform, as well as the prestigious Book of the Night which is distributed to major brand owners and marketing heads.
