PrintWeek celebrates anniversary with 204-page riveting read
First things first. The May 2021 edition of PrintWeek is a collector’s item. Even as you are reading this, the Komori System 38S heatset press at Kala Jyothi is printing the pages for the issue of the year, which includes the Power 100. It's a right riveting read!

Sudhanva Jategaonkar, B2B business head at Haymarketsac said, "While anniversaries are celebrated in our office with lot of fanfare, this was our second anniversary issue with all the team members working remotely in different parts of India - Chennai, Delhi, Goa, Kharvel village, Mumbai, Thiruvananthapuram and Vasai. Closing this edition in the face of was a massive undertaking for the team, what with the Covid calamity as well as the repercussions of Cyclone Tauktae. But here we are with our 204-pager anniversary issue. We hope it brings a smile on the face of the industry in these tough times."
So what do we have for you for our anniversary? The May issue of this year is dominated by The PrintWeek Power 100.
With more than 270 nominations, this year’s ranking also features the results of the public poll, in which PrintWeek readers and indeed industry professionals had the chance to select industry’s A-Listers.
With a record-breaking 7,474 votes (registered and verified), the industry lent support to The Power 100.
Dibyajyoti Sarma, associate editor at PrintWeek said, "Following a year of uncertainty, we decided to publish this year’s Power 100 to spread a bit of optimism in the industry. The response has been terrific." Sarma added, "The Power 100 is a good indicator about where the industry is heading. When you study the fair few ‘resignations’ from the membership of the industry’s most exclusive club you can spot lots of new names, plus new cities. Traditional companies in traditional print bastions have all been replaced with new members making their debuts."
In addition to the votes, the edit team members looked at profitability and performance and products and print buyer ratings. Plus PrintWeek doffed its hat to those who maintained high standards (and high morale) and deserved to be India's most important print and packaging firms.
