The sample for Mondelez India, with a run length of 1,000 metres, is printed on PVC shrink film on HP Indigo WS6000 series roll-to-roll digital press. Post-press processes involve sleeving, gluing and sleeve tube forming. The highlight of the job is that each artwork/ sleeve is personalised and printed with variable data software using Esko plug-ins. It’s a challenging job due to asymmetrical shape of the bottle and to align the graphic elements without any distortion.
The sample for Food Service is a CMYK + Pantone 347C + Pantone 1595C + white job printed on clear on clear RAF-Clear FTC 50, Adhesive RP 74, Liner Pet 30. This involved accurate colour matching and creating silk screen printing effect. Earlier, the client did the job on screen printing. However, as the artwork has solid colour, Trigon converted this on HP Indigo WS 6000 series press, by increasing the overall density and depth of the colour.
The sample for Purowellness highlights how digital printing can be used to achieve faster turnaround in short-run packaging jobs. Trigon has delivered the 1,000m job, printed on 20 micron BOPP and 70 micron PVC on Epson Surepress L-4033 AW within two days, including filling and pouching.
The sample for Core Nutrilife is printed on Fasson AMF 9601 2M silver metallised paper. Post-press includes matte lamination, die-cut and slitting. For the job, customer wanted quantities of 1,000 in six variants. Flexo wasn’t an option due to the height of the artwork. Thus, the job was rendered on the HP Indigo WS 6000 press.
