When it comes to wide-format printing, uniqueness of the art and colour makes the display attract attention. Printers opt for different innovative methods to make their work stand out from the competition. Keeping this in mind, PrintWeek India’s Wide-Format Printer of the Year award aims to choose the best print displays produced in wide format.
Noel D’Cunha, managing editor of PrintWeek India, said, “We will be looking for dazzling print displays that are produced on 60-inch plus wide-format printers with clarity and high-quality vibrant colours, intended to grab the target audience's attention.”
Meanwhile, for the Fine Art Printer of the Year award, the jury would be looking for prints, fine art books, or art catalogues that demonstrate the very highest levels of origination and print.
Last year, Dhanvi Rasiklal Shah Arts Company won the Fine Art Printer of the Year award and the Special Jury Award in this category was given to Archana Advertising. Manipal Technologies and Replica Press were the other companies shortlisted in this category.
The Wide-Format Printer of the Year award for 2018 was given to Bengaluru-based Printech Digital Imaging, whereas Orange Printers, Spectrum Scan, and Vishal Productions came close to winning the award.
