PrintWeek India Conclave 2012
The PrintWeek India Conclave on 30 August at Grand Hyatt in Mumbai is looking good.

We have identified two themes for this Conclave: One is Drupa and to understand the changes in the world of printing. Two is to attract and retain high-calibre print buyers and print spenders.
The Conclave aims to do that. Economist Dr Ajit Ranade presents a compact and timely key-note which will deftly sketch the recent economic trends. Jo Francis and the Drupa panel will locate the importance of the print show in distant corners of India, plus its direct impact on today’s Awards winners and short-listed firms.
Josy Paul, Tarun Rai, Indrajit Sen - and later the print buyers’ panel chaired by Gokul Krishnamurthy will share their breadth of print knowledge. They will infuse their engaging presentations with a range of customer specific references, and case-studies.
Karin Mayer of Canon will echo the main theme for the Conclave: that the enormous power wielded by print is nothing new. She will speak on how to make India one of the world’s leading outsourcing player.
Likewise Neela Dabir of TISS will talk on the vision and mission for print training.
The two key sessions for me are: Subodh Kulkarni of Tetrapak on green trends where he will argue against the fear, in certain circles, that print is green un-friendly.
Ravi Kiran will examine the trends that point toward business from the big cities out-reaching into smaller cities and towns.
Yogesh Dixit will present the final session at the Conclave by arguing that credit ratings for print companies, has been for an aggregate good.
Our intention is: how to create a future which is print perfect. And how print firms have to be ready for the challenge and promise of this future.
I hope India's top-most print CEOs who attend the show will find the day long interaction with the gurus useful.
