A number of Indian printing firms consider themselves as a green printing company. So which among them is the greenest? Is it the one which is least environmentally harmful, or the one that is transmitting the lowest level of greenhouse gases or the one with the most environment certifications?

The PrintWeek India Green Printing Company of the Year category was instituted with an intention to promote environmental performance in the printing companies. This award will be conferred to the print company that has done most to improve its environmental performance during the period under review. The judges for this category will be specialists and this will be the only category they will judge.
Last year’s winner, ITC, had a neck-to-neck green tussle with Repro India and Lovely Offset to be conferred the coveted PrintWeek India Green Printing Company of the Year 2016.
A look at the Company’s production data sheet indicated that the packaging giant had pioneered efforts to be carbon positive, water positive and solid waste recycling positive for the year under review.
