Alliance Printech (Stall B13)
Neoflex label press
Alliance is all set to go wide with a brand new series of Neoflex label press. Evolved from its present range of Novaflex-XS flexo label press, the 370mm press will be powered by an ELS driveline, chilled UV and will feature die-cutting and matrix rewinding units, among others.
Running alongside the new machine will be two other Alliance flexo presses – the Novaflex ELS XS6, an eight-colour all UV servo press. It will be seen with features such as cold foil, lamination, die-cutting unit, web cleaning and corona treatment. The press can be customised as per the requirement with top-ups such as relam/delam, embossing and lamination, amongst other features. With a top speed of 150m/min, this press has a short web path measuring 1.5 metres a unit.
The other Novaflex, the XS4, an economical and semi-automatic version, will also run demos at the show. An eight-colour press, the six-colour version will be seen running live.
Both the presses can print on a variety of substrates, including paper, film and foils.
Alliance claims to have around 20 installations. The key installations include: Dutta Press in New Delhi, and exports to Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Ghana and Ethiopia.

M4 flexo press line
Experience digital flexo technology on an M4 flexo line for the first time in India since Bobst acquired a majority stake in Nuova Gidue.
Bobst specialist will also be on hand to explain the advantages of the digital flexo process when fitted on the Bobst narrow- and mid-web inline flexo presses. You can also learn how it enables users to digitise all their press operations, delivering on the one hand the assurance of packaging colour consistency using the Revo-extended colour gamut and on the other, a highly efficient, hence profitable, production flow with automatic job changeovers and up to 95% press run time.
The M4 line, according to Bobst can deliver precision in servo control, stability and perfect register quality and consistency at all speeds.
Other Bobst solutions that visitors will be able to discuss at the show include the brand new MW CI flexo and the CL 750/SL 750 compact laminating solutions.
M-Tech Print Solution (Stall N19)
Lemorau Digi EBR
A double debut. Both M-Tech and Lemorau, the company that M-Tech represents in India, will be making its first appearance at the Labelexpo India. Lemorau is a Portugal-based finishing equipment manufacturer.
Chennai-based M-Tech will showcase the new Lemorau Digi EBR die-cutting to register machine with a digital printing module. Two more machine will also be shown – the recently launched Lamerau CTA automatic core cutting and EBRS semi-rotary die-cutting to register machine. Lemorau is now exporting to over 35 countries.
M-Tech also partners Brazil-based Etirama for its flexo presses and UV-Tech for its UV systems. Besides India, M-Tech represents all the three companies in Sri Lanka, Nepal, Pakistan and Bangladesh.
Monotech (Stall A10)
JetSci
Monotech Systems says it is going to woo you at the show with a fully loaded unique variable data and security printing solutions under its brand, JetSci. The brand-new complete and prototype solutions for label printing industry with made in India full colour printing solution, track and trace, ultra-high speed and high resolution variable data printing, high security applications, plastic cards personalisation solutions and many others are under development, alongside digital foil, MICR, digital inkjet web press.

Focus Proflex Se flexo press
Last year, Monotech took up management of UK’s Focus Label Machinery in India, and without much ado, completed its first installation of Proflex at Glamod Techno Labels in Mumbai.
At the show, Monotech will showcase the six-colour all-UV servo model Proflex Se, which was launched at Labelexpo Europe in 2015. The new ‘Se’ open architecture print platform allows faster changeover and set up of jobs with easy access for the operator to monitor all key elements such as ink levels, impression pressures, register and drying systems. Other features of the press include hot air and IR drying, cold foil and turnbar on rail, die cutting and easy loading.
Get a glimpse of samples of various packaging labels printing on the Labelmen intermittent offset press, with which Monotech has recently aligned.
Multitec (Stall L13 & L15)
VSI Servo and Ecosmart Servo
Two new servo-driven presses from Indian manufacturer Multitec – VSI Servo S2 and Ecosmart Servo – will be at the show.
While VSI Servo S2 is based on the company’s Ecoflex VSi platform with a web width of 370mm and heavier frames, Ecosmart Servo is based on the Ecosmart platform. Both the presses have been provided with electronic pre-register to cut down on start-up wastage. All controls on the print units are operated through HMI and there is an HMI at the end of press too.
The VSi Servo S2 has two servo drives on each print station and it comes with an option of auto-register. Die units, in-feed and out-feed are also servo-controlled. Other features include chill rolls, zero-break contact type matrix rewinder and all the other features borrowed from the Ecoflex VSi press. Additions to the list of options offered are the multi-layer label cross over unit and the new ‘trickylabel’ matrix remover for extremely complicated matrix shapes.
Nilpeter (Stall F15)
FB-3300S
See this Nilpeter bestseller in India take centre stage at the company’s stand. The six-colour servo flexo with short web path features a gravure unit as the last printing unit – a value-adding unit for metallic inks, solids, and coatings; and a new rail-based cross-over unit that can be placed above any printing unit for flexibility.
The press is also equipped with corona treater, web cleaner, chill drums on all units, movable cold foil, automatic plate positioning system, two die slots, and a 100% inspection system. Screen and hot foil drop-ins are offered as optional features. The FB-3300S can produce pressure-sensitive labels with cold foil as well as metallic gold ink printed in gravure. There are more than 30 Nilpeter FB-3300 presses currently running in the Indian subcontinent.
Nilpeter is working with multiple supply chain partners on the show floor for the demonstrations, including Avery Dennison and UPM Raflatac for labelstock; Ankit Graphics for plate processing; Flint for inks; rotary dies from RotoMetrics; and Univacco for cold foil.
Omet (Stall C24)
iFlex label press
The Omet iFlex label press will make its debut in India. A simple to use and quick at set-up press, Omet states it contains several innovations to ease a printer’s work. These include laser-assisted pre-register and register setting devices that speed up the machine set-up and rebooting after job change. Omet sources claim the iFlex has the shortest web path in narrow-web printing for savings in the start-up phase, and can handle substrate sizes from 5.5-inch to 18-inch. New Delhi-based Weldon Celloplast exclusively represents Omet in India.
Must see | Manroland India (Stall D28)
XLP 504 industrial printer
Manroland will demonstrate the Novexx Solutions’ XLP industrial printer at the show. Novexx is the former Industrial Print & Apply (IPA) business of Avery Dennison, which the Possehl Group acquired in June 2015, and later merged with Manroland in India.
Launched in September 2016, XLP 504 can print on a large selection of label materials including paper, polyster labels and tags.
Available in three print modes, 203, 300 or 600 dpi print resolution, the XLP 504 comes with a two-year warranty, has an internal ethernet as a standard feature and a user-friendly display. The 600 dpi resolution printer enables printing of tiny fonts, barcodes and symbols. The company claims the XLP 504 can print 1,000 labels in eight minutes.
Other products presented by Novexx Solutions will see live demonstrations of a Print & Apply head and a labeling machine. Apart from this, the company will also display ribbons, blank and product labels used on the XLP 504, Print & Apply machines and labeling machines.
Provin Technos (Stall K4)
Rotatek Brava 350/450
There will be no product on Provin stand, but Rotatek’s Brava 350/450 with semi-rotary and rotary mode will be the pivot around which activities will revolve. Provin claims this is the only offset machine available with both mode with variety of inline finishing options.
The Brava was launched in 2007 and has received regular upgrades over the years. There are around 70 Rotatek machines installed, with two of them being Brava. According to Provin, Rotatek’s recent developments have been the combination presses with high-end configurations and a high-speed universal press with inline die-cutting and folder-gluer for packaging application. The machine is available in two versions – 520mm and 680mm width with speeds of up to 350 min/minute.

Bizhub Press C71cf
The company disrupted the digital print market with its low-cost solutions for the cut-sheet market. And though digital is yet to take off in the Indian label segment, it could quiver the digital pitch in labels.
Introduced as a concept at the Ipex 2014 with C70RLC, with inputs from the prospective customers and industry the C71cf was unveiled at Labelexpo Europe in 2015.
The C71cf can be used for the production of non-self-adhesive and self-adhesive labels, capable of producing short- to mid-run prints at competitive price. It can run at speeds of up to 13.5m/min with a maximum paper width of 330mm and 1,200x1,200 dpi resolution (with optical resolution of 3,600 dpi). Will the Bizhub Press C71cf be the disruptor at the show?
Printronics (Stall H8)
Durst Tau series
Printronics, the Chennai-based representative for Durst, will showcase the company’s digital UV inkjet label press, Durst Tau series. The Tau was launched at Drupa 2012, upgraded with a range of versions and configuration options over the years. Its latest version, the Tau 330 E, was launched at last year’s Labelexpo in Brussel. The Tau is available in 4-, 5-, 6-, or 7-colour configuration options in 200mm or 330mm print widths, with chill roller and insertion system, Nikka inspection system, inline laser finishing or jumbo winders as well as inline third-party conventional finishing systems. Depending on application, the press can be configured with UV inks, low migration UV ink or high pigmented UV ink. The first Tau 330 has been installed at Ahmedabad’s Astron Packaging.

Xeikon 3030 Plus
Come and witness the 3030 Plus full optimisation with actual label size with its variable width of 8 to 13-inches and unlimited label length due to the unique full rotary technology. This allows the converter to fully optimise print run with actual size of label. The machine runs at a constant 15m/min irrespective of label lengths and number of colours applied. Again, the Xeikon toner for label presses offers FDA compliance for direct food contact, claiming to be the only manufacturer in the digital space with the highest light fastness and top print quality of 1,200x3600 dpi.
Iwasaki TR2
When it comes to offset flexo press, it’s Iwasaki International which made ripples in the international market with intermittent press TR2 UV offset flexo printing machine with five offset print station and three flexo printing stations. TR2 is available in web width of 100 to 330 mm and speed of 30-250 rpm.
Lombardi Synchroline 430 UV flexo press
The Synchroline was born as the servo motor upgrade to the Lombardi Flexoline model launched in 2007. Some of the mechanical components were already present on the Flexoline press got a dramatic deflection.
The Lombardi Synchroline, launched in 2011, got the servo motors powered by a new electronic board with a system of register control, to make the press more accurate, says Ranesh Bajaj, managing director at Creed, the Indian representative for Lombardi.
The first Lombardi Syncroline 430 was installed in India in July 2015 at New Delhi’s A&A Labels.
The Synchroline 430 can accept rolls in sizes up to 450, has a pre-register system, a Corona treatment unit, a Lombardi patented Air Blade System (ABS), and a servo motor on each of the eight units of the press. The press at A&A is equipped with a die-cutting unit, an overhead adjustable relam-delam and cold-foiling attachments.
Watch out for four more installs, which Bajaj says, are under process.

FL 5
A single pass folding carton press solution with inline flatbed die-cutting? Yes. Edale claims it is the only narrow-web press manufacturer to offer this solution. This is for those who need to carry out different processes on different machines. One can add a chill system and RDC to extend the product range to flexible packaging like lamitubes, monofilms, laminates, aluminium as well as self-adhesive labels. Also see the Edale FL 3, FL 5 and peek into the soon to be launched FL 7 for a wide range of packaging applications with a substrate range from 12 to 600 micron.
Kolkata’s Printers Supply Co represents Edale in India. An Edale flexo press has been installed in Kolkata and another is expected to come into India later this year.
