Speaking to PrintWeek India, Vinay Kaushal, managing director at Provin refrained from naming the customers, but said, two of the 9-series four-colour presses will go to North India, while the third, a 7-series four-colour press will go to Central India. “It’s been a solid nine months for us. We have 19 so far, and I am talking in terms of number of machines arrived and installed. By March 2016, we expect to take the number to 25 machines.”

The latest Ryobi 9-series six-colour press with UV coater has been installed at Vadodara’s Pravin Printing Press.

Kaushal added, “We attribute the success of the Ryobi presses in India to a good product range, competitive pricing, and aggressive marketing.” He added, “A number of features in the Mitsubishi V3000 introduced in 2007 have been brought in the new Ryobi series of presses. These are patented features like pre-set and auto nip checking, and the maintenance mode, to name a few.”

Provin also promoted Ryobi MHI Graphic Technology’s new logo, which emphasised the company’s corporate philosophy and message of colouring the world together.

“We would like to ensure that the worldwide customers will fully recognise the two companies, Ryobi and MHI-PPM as a singular corporate entity, strengthening our corporate identity, fully integrating the differing product brands, colours, and designs of Ryobi and MHI-PPM products,” said Koji Okubo, general manager for international sales and marketing department, sales and service division, Ryobi MHI Graphic Technology, Japan.
