Provin Technos closes 19 deals in 2023

The order includes 16 multi-colour sheetfed printing presses from RMGT and two digital inkjet printing presses and the third order is the addition of multiple units to a recently installed variable format offset press from Miyakoshi.

Vinay Kaushal, director, Provin Technos, said, “The previous year was good for us. We could bag 19 deals of printing presses from different segments of the industry. We have received orders from commercial printers, books printers and packaging converters too.”

He said the order of 19 printing presses includes two digital inkjet printing presses and it shows the shift of printers from offset to digital. “We saw a steady recovery of the print market which at the same time has been accompanied by few challenges in terms of increasing raw material prices and longer shipment times for new machines,” he added. 

The steady growth, especially in the publication sector, required the printers to expand their capacity and this resulted in a good demand for both new and used presses. 

Kaushal said, “With the ongoing increase in the new machine prices and long shipment scenario, 2023 saw a big inflow of pre-owned presses coming into the Indian market. At the same time, we were able to foresee the demand and were able to make some machines available to cater to some part of the demand that the market saw.”

The order of 19 printing presses includes 16 RMGT press orders including 15 presses of 9 series (36-inch) of different configurations of four colours, five colours, five plus coater, six plus coater and eight colour perfector configurations. One machine is of smaller size — 7 series (31-inch) press. 

Kaushal said 2024 looks very promising for the company for the upcoming projects in multiple verticals which will expand Provin’s offering to the printing industry.
