Publishing Next declares shortlist
Publishing Next has announced the shortlist for the inaugural Publishing Next Industry Awards. The winners will be announced during the Publishing Next Conference, which is scheduled for19-20 September, in Panaji, Goa.

The awards will given away across five categories: Publisher of the Year, Publishing Innovation of the Year, Bookstore of the Year, Printed Book of the Year, and Digital Book of the Year.
A specialist jury comprising of industry professionals, thought leaders and innovators, will judge the shortlisted entries to choose the winner.
The awards have been introduced to recognise the innovation and leadership in the book trade segment across all Indian languages.

This year’s conference will feature panel discussions, “how-to” workshops and experience-sharing insight talks. In addition, it is structured to encourage networking among participants. Panel discussions on topics such as the business of graphic novels; open publishing and copyright issues; publishing in Indian languages; and, e-publishing in India, will bring together CEOs, editors, authors, managers and professionals from the industry.
The keynote address of the conference will be deliverd by Ganesh Devy, a literary scholar and cultural activist. Some of the key speakers at the conferrence include, Vivek Goel, Bimal Mehta, Vinutha Mallya, Ravi Deecee, Anantha Padmanabhan, Vidyun Sabhaney, Hemant Divate, Shishir Jha, Guruprasad Narayana, Klaus Willberg and Meera Johri, among others
