Pune’s Gallant installs the newly launched Roland Soljet Pro4 XF 640
Gallant Printing Solutions, the Pune-based wide-format digital printing company has become the first to install Roland Pro 4 Soljet XF-640 in India.

According to Hetul Thakker, managing director of Gallant, the new kit installed in July, is used to cater to the needs of growing signage and retail industry throughout Maharashtra.
“It’s been a good first quarter for our business, after a lull of last fiscal,” said Thakkar. He attributes the upsurge in demand to the good rains this monsoon season has seen till now. “The market sentiments are good, which will drive signage business for us during the festivals, which will start with the Ganesha festival and continue till the end of the year,” he says.
The wide-format specialist, operates from a three-storey building, which houses both the print and fabrication units. Besides the new kit, Gallant is equipped with HP L65500, two more Roland wide-format machines, and a CNC router.
The new Roland XF-640 has fired around 20,000 sq/ft prints within a span of a month. “The XF-640 has staggered ink head configuration, which gives push to the speed while maintaining the consistency,” said Thakker.
Besides, the XF 640 uses Eco Sol Max 2 ink, which adheres to all coated and uncoated medias delivering rich saturated colours and sharp images. “The quality, quantity and stability of XF-640 is amazing and Roland VersaWorks RIP software, which comes with XF 640 is comparatively easy to work as well as train people on,” said Thakkar.
