Creasing and folding specialist Morgana (8B-A66) has launched two new creasing and folding machines which are aimed at high-capacity needs, along with new booklet maker that can produce a perfect-bound looking book but saddle-stitched., Business
Among other machines on display is the DigiBook 450 PUR perfect binder, which has been picked up by Pune’s Kadam Digital. The sales was facilitated by Malhotra Graphics, Morgana’s India representative.
The AutoCrease 385 is a new kit that has the ability to do up and down creasing for perfect bound covers in a single pass, while the DigiFold is the fourth generation of DigiFold kits, and using the patented DynaCrease technology, allows non-stop creasing without having to stop the machine.
While both the machines can handle 385x700mm sheet size, the AutoCrease can crease at 8,500sph, while the DigiFold can crease and fold up to 6,000sph.
The BM350 booklet making machine replaces the Morgana’s previous model, BM200. The application is again for the large-capacity book segment. The BM350 comes in two variants – one that can produce a 35-sheet (140-page) and a 50-sheet (200-page) books.
James Walsh, export sales manager for Morgana, said, “These new machines offer our customers enhanced flexibility and the ability to run a range of applications.”
Morgana also announced the new partnership with Canon and Konica Minolta, for supplying booklet makers for the range of colour and mono press engines.
