Puneet Datta of Canon feels that Ipex has been carving a niche for itself as an exhibition of digital printing industry. "Although, the first day of the exhibition didn’t achieve desired footfalls, the weekend shall most definitely do much better," he said.

Calling ImagePress C7010VP as the star product of its stand at Ipex SA, Dutta said: "It is essentially an upgraded version of the C7000VP press. We have made ten changes in its design and technology. Most prominent of these are – installing a unique air vent technology to keep the temperature inside the machine constant across for better colour consistency, increasing the media thickness ability of the press up to 325gsm, and improving the duty cycle of the machine."

The C7010VP has already established itself as the flagship product of the industry today.
