The PWI Awards has set a benchmark for the finest in print creativity in a professional setting. The 8th PWI Awards officially commences its year with the opening of its entry system.

Coming off the previous edition, which saw more than 300 entries, the PWI Awards has acquitted a reputation for gathering some of the biggest print spenders and brand names and most respected people in the industry along with meaningful discussions about every print sample and an unbiased study of the standout entries from each year.

The early bird deadline for the 2016 PWI Awards is 1 July and the standard fee deadline is 20 July.

“The high level of experience and credibility of the jury was really something that I was proud to be a part of. We discussed things endlessly to define the Awards and it’s a fantastic show to be associated with. The quality of the work is as high as anywhere in the world,” said Ashwini Deshpande of Elephant Design.

Entrants have the possibility of being recognised in 26 categories or even the highly coveted PWI Company of the Year. In 2015, over 300 entries from nearly 113 print firms had the opportunity to be judged and honoured by approximately 26 creative leaders from India, with 31 Prisms awarded.

“Of all the awards you may win in your career and stack up on the shelf, there’s one that will stand head and shoulders above the rest, and that’s the PWI Award, truly a Prism with stature,” said Bhuvnesh Seth of Replika Press.

After the 2016 judging period in August, a shortlist will be released followed by the announcement of all winners in October.

Suresh Ramakrishnan, publisher of Haymarket Media (India), said, “If you win at the PWI Awards, it’s because your work has been evaluated by the best of the Jury who have vetted the print works through a rigorous judging process. There’s no sponsor pressure on any of the judges to award anything for any particular reason. In addition, for the Performance Awards we look at the financials of the entrants. It’s one of the most serious shows to enter and win.”
