Raebareli’s Imagine Enterprises installs Canon Imagepress 650

Rahul Agarwal of Imagine Enterprises cited two reasons behind opting for the machine. “One, the digital printing press comes in a suitable price range. Second, Canon’s print production is better compared to other players; it prints at 2400x2400 dpi resolution,” he said.

Raebareli being a small town, Agarwal said most of the company’s business comes from educational institutes and fashion designing institutes located there. “As we cater to fashion designing institutes, we print special colour as well,” he said, adding that while the market is small, it is highly competitive. Since Lucknow, the capital of UP, is just 80 km from Raebareli, customer would shift there if they don’t get their desired products.

Imagine Enterprises is the offshoot of Agarwal Press, established by Rahul Agarwal’s father Dhani Ram Agarwal with a tradel press around 40 years ago. Besides, Raebareli, it has two printing facilities in Lucknow as well, equipped with pre-owned printing presses from Heidelberg and Poly. Agarwal’s brother Mohit too helps in the day-to-day affairs of the business.

“We print commercial and promotional jobs,” Agarwal said, adding, “We print around 40,000 sheets per month on offset and around 15,000 sheets on digital.”  

 “Our next investment will be in pre-press,” he concluded.
