Rakesh Sodhi to helm newly elected IPAMA team

Rakesh Sodhi was elected the president of Indian Printing Packaging & Allied Machinery Manufacturers’ Association (IPAMA). Vinay Kumar Gupta and Suresh Kumar will be the general secretary and treasurer respectively.

The IPAMA team took the opportunity to announce the dates for the 15th edition of PrintPack India from 11 march to 15 March 2022. The show will be hosted at the India Expo Centre in Greater Noida concurrently with India Sign & LED Expo 2021.

On the occasion, Sodhi said, "We are thankful to our GC and members of the IPAMA who bestowed their faith on us. We have 120 days to organise India's biggest event- PrintPack India 2022 from 11 to 15 March 2022 if the Covid situation stays stable due to the extensive vaccination drive." On behalf of IPAMA, Sodhi promised to set "a new benchmark in the conducting of the show." He said, "Our all efforts will be towards convenience for exhibitors and visitors, especially to attract overseas exhibitors and provide global opportunities to our members. We will pull all our strings with our young and dynamic team members."

Rakesh Sodhi is the managing director, Sodhisons Mechanical Works, which provides complete solutions for offset printing, packaging, corrugating and binding operations under one roof.

Sodhisons’ product range includes automatic die-cutting and hot-foil stamping machines, laminating machines, rigid box making machines, grooving machines, automatic blanker, cutting machines, flute laminators, folder gluers, automatic case maker, and automatic paper bag machines.

The elections of the governing council members of IPAMA for the term 2021-2023, were conducted through e-Voting on 18 October 2021. AN IPAMA spokesman informed PrintWeek that, "The user ID and passwords were generated by CDSL and sent directly to the eligible members on their registered e-mails and mobile phones. Dharmesh Arora of Fair Deal Engineers, Faridabad was nominated as the returning officer for the IPAMA elections. After the counting of votes, the results were declared by the returning officer on 19 October in the presence of the candidates and the staff of the IPAMA secretariat."

The 120th meeting of the Governing Council of IPAMA was held at 5.00 pm on 22 October at Hotel Fortune Inn Grazia, in Sector-27, Noida.
