Apart from the lamination machines, Print Cafe also offers heavy duty die-cutting, creasing and embossing machine; computerised leaf attachment of die; and compact semi-automatic paper cutting machine for digital and album-making units.

According to Gautam Anand, owner, Print Cafe Engineers, the company has installed more than 200 machines in India and overseas countries, such as Dubai, Nepal and Sri Lanka. “Recently, we had two installations at the Amar Ujala plant in Noida,” he said. These include one thermal plus cold lamination machine of 32-inch and one laminated sheet separator of 32-inch. Other installations include Printland, A&M Design, Vibha Press, and Noida-based Metallic Impression.

While UV seems to be the trend in post-press enhancement, Anand says in India, the lamination market is much bigger compared to UV. “Thermal lamination is still very popular in India because of the quality of the finishing look. And, unlike UV, it is faster,” says Anand, adding that the coating life in lamination is much more than UV.

A highlight of the Print Café stable is the sheet separator (laminated roll to convert in sheet). “This machine separates laminated sheets and stacks them in the back of the machine. It is suitable for both BOPP and PVC films. It can also be attached on a thermal lamination machine for online cutting,” Anand explained. He said the company is targeting a sale of six to seven machines a month.

In the pipeline is a plan to start a sales office in Mumbai in the next two to three months. This is to meet the demands coming in from Western India, Anand addedp.

The machine is suitable for lamination of paper/digital print/non-tearable sheet/and for photo albums, and it is designed especially for digital printers. The company provides mirror finish heating cylinder, and is supplied with hydraulic as well as pneumatic pressure as per demands.

Wet (plain/conventional) lamination machine
The machine is for lamination of polyester/BOPP/PVC/golden and silver film and is suitable for book-making/sweet boxes/aluminum foil plates, etc. The machine can be customised as per demands.

Thermal laminations machine
The company supplies special design compact thermal lamination machine suitable for lamination of offset paper/digitalprint/non-tearable sheet/and photo album.

Dual lamination machine (hot and cold)
With both hot and cold lamination in one machine, this is suitable for fevicol lamination and thermal lamination. Due to separate pressure system, the machine is suitable for switching between thermal and cold lamination without wasting time.

Four-in-one thermal/cold cum strip gumming and lamination machine
This machine is suitable for fevicol lamination and thermal lamination, as well as poster strip gumming purpose. This is beneficial for commercial printers as it eliminates the need for two separate machines.

The special-designed compact thermal lamination machine with auto cut is suitable for lamination of offset paper/digitalprint/non-tearable sheet/and photo album.
