Rational Business Corporation invests in an ABG turret rewinder

The ABG Vectra ECTR 430 will be attached to the existing printing press to produce finished rolls from a wide spectrum of substrates, and thus help the company become profitable, said the directors of RBC, Ashok Gupta and his brother Ashish. “The cycle time of operation reduces drastically using a fully automatic turret thus increasing productivity and reducing waste,” said Gupta.

Noida-based Vinsak represents ABG in India. 

According to Keith Montgomery, sales director at ABG International, who was present at the Vinsak stand during Labelexpo India, ABG has been manufacturing automatic turret rewinders for more than 15 years and it helps to automatically divide larger printed rolls into smaller rolls in line with the press. “It’s just the sheer automation and less operational hassles which have made ECTR, a suitable investment for converters.”

The Vectra ECTR 430 supplied to RBC can run at a top speed of 150m/min with 25-76mm diameter mandrels. Ranesh Bajaj, director at Vinsak, said, “It will help RBC to finish rolls in quick succession. Overall it’s a great investment for RBC and we hope we will continue to provide more such products to them in near future,” said Bajaj.
