Regal Creative Products installs Taiyo narrow-web press

Delhi-based Regal Creative Products has installed a Taiyo STF 340, a 10-colour servo-driven narrow-web UV flexo printing press in its facility at GT Karnal industrial area. “We are using a CI letterpress from Taiyo for the last 12 years. So we knew what to expect from the company and about the machine’s print quality and reliability,” KK Bajaj, director, Regal Creative Products, said.

Manufactured by Japan-based Taiyo Kikai, the label press has been supplied and installed by its Indian representative Mumbai-based Standard Printers Providers.

“We saw the advertisements for the Taiyo presses in an international magazine and contacted the concerned authorities,” Bajaj said, adding, “For us, Taiyo is an economical investment compared to European and other imported printing presses.”

The Taiyo STF 340 is a 340mm press that can print paper and flexible substrates. It is equipped with an additional screen printing unit as well.

Bajaj said the screen printing unit is for additional colours like metallic and white. “We have been to Taiyo’s China facility and are impressed with the performance of the machine. Though the facility is based in China, the company manufactures the presses according to Japanese standards,” he added.

Further, the press is equipped with online foiling.

Bajaj said Regal Creative Products will start running the machine in the next few weeks.
