Harsh Doshi, the second generation of the family owned business, said, “We are manufacturing more than 100 metric tonnes of release liners per month and our installed capacity is 300 metric tonnes per month. We are targeting labelstock manufacturers to utilise our existing production capacity.”

“The labelstock market is becoming more competitive nowadays, but there are also more opportunities, both in domestic and overseas markets,” he added.

Established in 1992, Globus has two coating lines and five slitting lines. The company recently installed a high speed and automated slitter equipment. Doshi added that the company’s existing capacity is full and it is serving the European market now. Among its customers, out of 125, more than 100 are from the tape industry and rest are from the label industry.

Globus can produce release liners from 12 to 1,700mm. “Right now, we have equal demand from domestic and overseas markets but sooner our export will be higher,” Doshi said, adding that Globus is the only Indian company who is manufacturing florescent silicon liners suitable for silicon adhesive tapes.
