Talking about the deal and their experience and PrintExpo, Sambit Misra, chief operating officer for production printing, Ricoh India, “We made a good start to the exhibition with the Penguin Xerox deal and we are hoping to convert most of the prospective leads in the coming weeks.”
Launched in August 2015, the Pro C9100 series boast a maximum recommended monthly volume of one million A4 pages, as well as high print speed of 130ppm and features a choice of Electronics for Imaging (EFI) digital front ends, including the EFI E-43 or the faster E-83 print server.
“We see the South Indian market as a very important part of our strategy and we’ve been growing steadily in terms of market share. We are specifically aiming to reach the photo studios in the tier-2 and tier-3 cities,” explained Misra.
“The ability to print the whole 49 inches is a major selling point in this market as it can reduce the number of pages used and prove to be a cost effective solution and make the difference in terms of price point,” he added.
The company is also set to launch their latex engine in September aiming to cater to the signage industry.
