This will be apart from the space for Heidelberg’s Print Media Academy to host training sessions.
In the 2010 edition of Pamex, Heidelberg stall had attracted huge crowds. The 800 sq/mtrs stall had a lounge that was divided into various sections – a library which housed print literatures, demonstrations of the Prinect workflow, information centre and a gallery of NAEP (National Awards for Excellnece in Print) awards.
The other participating companies include Canon, TechNova, Kodak, Komori and post-press giant, Bobst.
Manoj Mehta, president of AIFMP, is confident of Pamex 2011 being the biggest ever. He said: "More than 90 exhibitors have confirmed participation at Pamex 2011. We are targetting a gross area of 15,000 sq/mtrs as compared to 10,000 sq/mtrs in the previous edition. The other giant stalls at the show will be Autoprint Machinery and HP India"
Under Mehta’s tenure as the president, Indian print industry was represented for the first time at the twelfth Forum of Asian Graphic Arts Technology (FAGAT) held in Sydney from 4-6 May 2011. The next edition of FAGAT will be held in India for the first time on Printer’s Day 24 February 2012 followed by Romancing Print by AIFMP on the next day.
Mehta added: "AIFMP represents 59 affiliate associations from across the length and breadth of India. Pamex exhibition and participation at FAGAT are a step forward in its mission to be India’s pre-eminent organisation in developing cooperation, among national, regional and global print specialists, in matters of mutual interest, to provide globally relevant state of the art print technology, education and expertise, to create world class print material and to encourage and recognise excellence in printing."
The deadline for sending entries for the third edition of PrintWeek India Awards is 25 June 2011.
